Angel Reese captured the attention of prominent figures around the basketball world on Sunday evening when she broke the all-time WNBA record for consecutive double-doubles.
The Chicago Sky rookie notched her 13th straight double-double in a loss to the Seattle Storm, surpassing the previous mark set by Candace Parker.
Atlanta Hawks point guard Trae Young was one of the many prominent figures to take to social media and congratulate Reese on her accomplishment.
“Really hoopin! @Reese10Angel,” Young wrote on X.
Reese is “really hoopin” to say the least. The league’s No. 7 overall pick is averaging 13.9 points and 11.7 rebounds per game — enough to earn her an All-Star selection in her rookie season.
