Candace Parker had high praise for Angel Reese amid the Chicago Sky rookie’s insane double-double streak. In fact, the WNBA legend used the perfect two words to describe the youngster.
For those who are not in the know, the Sky All-Star recently broke Parker’s record (12) for the most consecutive double-doubles in league history. Reese’s streak is still alive as well, having extended it to 15 straight games during Thursday’s showdown with the New York Liberty.
With that said, Parker couldn’t help but call Reese a “rebounding machine” for her performance this 2024 season.
“She’s a rebounding machine and we saw that in college. And I know she took the fuel of people saying is it going to translate, and she’s done just that in this early round,” Parker said during her appearance at the ESPYs on Thursday.
“Rebounding machine” might just be the perfect nickname for Angel Reese. After all, she has the numbers to back it up. Reese leads the WNBA in rebounds with an average of 11.8, and she’s dominating the offensive glass with 4.7 per game.

Reese unarguably has a great nose for the ball. But more than that, her tenacity and willingness to fight for every rebound make her, as Candace Parker said, a real rebounding machine.
