Fever Coach Christie Sides Gets Slammed for “Sabotage” Following Awful Performance

The Indiana Fever had a rollercoaster of a game against the Phoenix Mercury as they nearly blew a very big lead. In fact, this would have been one of the best comeback victories in WNBA history had the Mercury completed it.

Despite the rocky game, Caitlin Clark still had a fantastic performance, making history yet again. Even so, her fourth quarter was much more quiet than the rest of the game, as it appeared coach Christie Sides shifted away from having Clark play her normal game. This decision has led fans on Twitter to accuse sides of “sabotaging” Clark and the Fever.

While Sides’ coaching overall this season hasn’t been great, sabotage is a bit of a stretch. Even so, this game was the cherry on top to a horrible season thus far for Sides. She has to get her stuff together ASAP if she wants to have any success with Clark on her team. Sides likely won’t be there much longer if she keeps this up.
