Naga Munchetty was forced to halt BBC Breakfast on Friday after a technical blunder left her red-faced and she was hit with a second issue moments later
Naga Munchetty experienced a bit of on-air chaos during BBC Breakfast on Friday when she had to stop the show due to a technical hiccup. As she was setting up for the next part of the programme, the image that was supposed to appear behind her failed to materialise.
She explained: “In the last 24 hours, the BBC has been looking at some of the challenges facing the industry as part of a campaign called Farm Watch set up to inform and educate the public about what it is really like to be a farmer, take a look.”
After an awkward silence and a glance towards her colleague Charlie Stayt, Naga addressed the glitch.
“Well you could have had a look but we haven’t got it, unfortunately,” she confessed. “But what we can do is show you a feed in this moment in time..”
The situation took a humorous turn when she chuckled: “Oh,” upon realising yet another mistake had happened. “Well, it is a frozen combine harvester. This is great,” reports the Express.

Turning to their guests in the studio, Charlie then chimed: “I suppose in a way what happened there is a bit like farming, isn’t it? Things don’t always go according to plan and you have to deal with things and cope in the moment.”

In another twist for the day, BBC Breakfast viewers noticed a change in the line-up as Sarah Keith-Lucas stepped in for Carol Kirkwood.
Before the show, the weather presenter shared the day’s forecast with her social media followers.
She wrote: “Good morning and Happy Friday. It’s a humid start for many with a fair bit of cloud, but skies will brighten with sunshine and blustery showers in the forecast today. Join me on @BBCBreakfast for more details.” (sic).
