Where has the time gone

Caitlin Clark.

Caitlin Clark‘s life has undergone a fairytale transformation in recent times, going from a college basketball player to the biggest name in the WNBA in just a few years.

She continues to sweep up every accolade and surpass every challenge that comes her way, and despite becoming the target of some nasty tactics at the start of her WNBA career, she continues to flourish.

Her last match with the Indiana Fever came on June 1, giving her a much needed couple of weeks off to reflect on what has been a whirlwind adventure since entering the top women’s basketball league.

On Instagram, Caitlin Clark posted two photos of herself. One of them is a recent snap of her in an Indiana Fever jersey while the other is a much younger version of herself in a similar pose.

Alongside it, she posted the caption: “Time flies” and, in doing so, opened herself up to more questions than answers.

To most, there is nothing much more to it than a simple side-by-side of a young child and the adult who realised that youngster’s dream.

To others, they are left wondering if Clark is reminiscing on the simpler life she once enjoyed.

Abuse in recent weeks

Caitlin Clark has been at the heart of a nasty campaign against her in recent times since joining the WNBA.

Numerous players have aimed cheap shots at her, both on and off the court, in the form of words and in the form of physical attacks on the field of play.

This could be the natural consequence of being a great player who is hard to get close to on the court, while there does appear to be a nastiness in the nature of many of the feuds.
