That was no rumour. It was the garden party hosted by the then Prince Charles, Harry’s father at Buckingham palace in the gardens to celebrate his 70th birthday.

Meghan was photographed sticking her tongue out in photos that the press used later to confirm the story of her behaviour.

The story was that very shortly after they had arrived she complained that she was bored, and started to act like a 5 year old spoilt child, I am sorry to 5 year old children as the vast majority are not as bad mannered as she was, and they usually have parents with them to manage their behaviour.

So at a birthday party for her father-in-law, a married woman who was invited as the wife of the son of the host, complains that she is bored, apparently within 15 minutes of arriving, and when being photographed sticks her tongue out, perhaps that will be interpreted as her being cute and likeable(?).

Prince Charles when informed of her behaviour, ordered the car that had brought Harry and Meghan to be prepared and then informed his son Harry that his car was waiting for him.

In the UK it is regarded as very impolite to insult one’s host and the hosts other guests when attending an event, which you have accepted an invitation to attend. This may not be the same in America, but I believe that similar standards of expected behaviour also apply.

If a young child had a tantrum then the parent, or responsible adult is expected to deal with the issue. However a married woman in her late 30’s early 40’s is expected to have learnt how to behave in adult company, even if the event is not one that would have been an initial choice.
