Something needs to be done now: Everyone is saying the same thing about Indiana Fever Coach Christie Sides

The future of Christie Sides as the Indiana Fever head coach is in jeopardy. It seems every game her time in Indiana slims even more. WNBA fans all over social media have been furious with her in-game adjustments and development of the Fever’s young core.

In the Fever’s loss to the Los Angeles Sparks on Tuesday, Sides took Caitlin Clark out out of the game with just a few minutes left in the fourth quarter. The Sparks wound up riding an 11-0 scoring run and took home the 88-82 victory.

She’s not just mismanaging the lineups during game days. It’s clear that Sides doesn’t have the ability to mesh this team with stars like Clark and Aliyah Boston. He wants the team to be focused on a paint presence on offense while being known for their defensive identity, but the Fever simply doesn’t have the tools for that.

The loss to Los Angeles was the final straw for many fans. They’re tired of her halting Clark from flourishing in the league, with many believing that she’s the Fever’s main problem and she needs to be fired as soon as possible.

Indiana lies as the No. 5 team in the Eastern Conference and No. 11 in the WNBA standings with a 1-7 record. The 2024 season may very well be Sides’ final year with the organization as the team looks for its 10th head coach in franchise history.
