Expressed her joy on social media
Louisiana State University (LSU) alumna Angel Reese took to X to express her joy as three Tigers were selected in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft.
LSU’s Jayden Daniels, Malik Nabers and Brian Thomas Jr. were among the top picks in this year’s draft, showcasing the talent cultivated at the university.
“3 LSU GUYS FIRST ROUND!!! EVER YEAR THIS WHAT WE DO!! CONGRATS GUYS!!!!,” wrote WNBA-bound Reese.
Earlier this month, the Chicago Sky selected Reese with the 7th overall pick in the first round of the 2024 WNBA Draft.
“I’m coming to Chitown,” Reese said.
“I’m super excited to compete, work hard and let’s win.”
The three LSU alumni
The Washington Commanders addressed their quarterback needs by selecting Daniels with the second overall pick.
Daniels, who spent his final two college seasons at LSU, boasts an impressive collegiate career, accumulating over 12,000 passing yards, 3,000 rushing yards and a combined total of 89 passing and 34 rushing touchdowns.
Meanwhile, LSU wide receiver Nabers made history by becoming just the second receiver from the school to be selected in the top 10.
Nabers, chosen sixth overall by the New York Giants, showcased his skills with over 3,000 receiving yards and 21 touchdowns during his three seasons at LSU.
Rounding out LSU’s first-round selections, the Jacksonville Jaguars picked wide receiver Thomas Jr. with the 23rd overall pick.
Thomas, who also played three seasons at LSU, contributed nearly 2,000 receiving yards and 24 touchdowns to the Tigers‘ offense.
