Chicago Sky rookie Angel Reese has continued to make waves this season, most recently breaking the WNBA’s record for most consecutive double-doubles. While the Chicago Sky still sit at No. 8 on the WNBA’s power rankings, Reese has continued to impress as she looks to compete with Caitlin Clark for the WNBA’s Rookie of the Year award.

With plenty of exciting things happening in her life, Reese recently took to Instagram for a photo dump. Among the photos she can be seen celebrating with teammates, posing after workouts, and even showing off a new tattoo behind her ear.

So far, it has remained unclear just what the tattoo behind Reese’s ear means, however, it appears as though it uses characters in an Asian language such as Chinese or Japanese for example.

Given the way Reese wears her headband in-game, it’s likely that many fans never noticed the tattoo behind the young star’s ear. You can check out the photo dump posted by Angel Reese on Instagram below, with the photo of the Sky star’s new tattoo behind her ear appearing in the final photo of the carousel.

The photo dump shared by Angel Reese on Instagram Tuesday coincided with the rookie standout being named as the WNBA’s Player of the Week for week seven, which spanned from Jun. 27 through Jul. 7.

During that time, Reese racked up five straight double-doubles, breaking Candace Parker’s record for most consecutive double-doubles on Sunday in the Sky’s 84-71 loss to the Seattle Storm.

In addition, she also recorded 275 career points, 225 career rebounds, and 30 steals faster than any player since Yolanda Griffith in 1999. While she currently sits as a heavy betting underdog in the WNBA’s Rookie of the Year race behind Caitlin Clark, she has continued to build her case.

At the same time, Angel Reese was also honored by Sky owner Michael J. Alter, who brought a custom cake to the Sky’s practice on Tuesday to commemorate the rookie’s 13 straight double-doubles.

Reese and the team will be back in action on Wednesday when they host the Atlanta Dream. The game will mark the first of four games that Reese and the Sky will play before the WNBA All-Star/Olympic break that begins following their Jul. 16 game against the Las Vegas Aces.

The team will then be back in action on Aug. 15 when they host the Phoenix Mercury. While the Sky currently sit in eighth place, with more than half of their season still to play, the team could make a strong postseason push in the second half of the year.
