Alison was spotted looking very loved up before hailing the £2,000 weekend getaway a “dream.”

Now fans have turned on the ITV stalwart after she admitted the trip was “gifted”.

She wrote the disclaimer in her caption alongside a reel showing her idyllic surroundings at Port Lympne Zoo in Kent.

Alison gushed: “What a lovely stay at @portlympnepark a superb hotel and reserve!

“Staying at the lyons lodge was a dream and truly unforgettable.

“Thanks for the invite and looking after me.”

Yet this prompted one fan to clap back: “How can they gift you this when it is a charity organisation yet it is £2,000 a night for us normal folk to stay there.”

Another put: “Such a shame it was gifted.

“The £1,6000 a night it costs to stay there would have helped the animals greatly.”

A third then wrote: “Show off. Typical gifted how selfish. Why not give to a family in need of a break.”

In reference to the couple’s blossoming relationship, another put: “Marriage venue???????” while another added: “My goddaughter had her wedding there.”

The pair stayed at the luxurious Lion’s Lodge.

Prices for the five star zoo experience start at £1,450 a night – and also include a golf buggy to take you around the reserve.

Cute couple

Previously, The Sun revealed Alison and David met after she booked £150 massage sessions with him.

Their friendship then turned romantic at the end of last year.

A source was first to tell us: “David is a very quiet, unassuming and thoughtful person who likes to play the guitar.

“He’s the strong, silent type, not a pushover, but not chatty like Alison.

“In that sense they’re perfect for each other and to David age is just a number.

“He’s not bothered by fame, he probably didn’t even know who Alison was when they first met.”

Alison’s last public relationship was with gardener Ben Hawkins but that sadly ended in 2023.
