Chicago Sky rookie Angel Reese sent a message to fans online after an encounter with an individual who mentioned they follow her nonexistent social media page.

“I don’t have Snapchat or Facebook, FYI!” Reese said, confirming that the accounts on the said platforms under her name are fake.

She then supplemented her post, explaining her interaction with the specific fan who claimed to follow her on Snapchat.

“I say this because somebody just told me they follow me on Snap and said [I’ve] been posting a lot on there (LMAO). I don’t even have the app,” Reese commented, with two laughing emojis.

Reese entered the WNBA as an established star, previously known as one of the most popular women’s college basketball players. The talented forward has made a name for herself on and off the court this season, averaging 13.5 points and 11.9 rebounds per game prior to the WNBA’s break.

The women’s basketball superstar has immense social media fanfare, having over eight million followers through Instagram, TikTok, and X combined. Her influence on the Sky has been evident, attracting some major celebrities to Chicago games, like Chance the Rapper, Jason Sudeikis, Latto, and Lil Durk.

Thanks to one awkward fan encounter, the rookie made sure to alert her legions of followers to steer clear of fake social media pages posing as her.
