Angel Reese was third-wheeling on Monday night, having attended an NBA Summer League fixture between the Los Angeles Lakers and Boston Celtics on Monday night.

The former LSU star was pulled up with former Chicago Sky teammate Kysre Gondrezick and Celtics superstar guard Jaylen Brown and, at several points, was the center of attention. It’s why her interaction with former NBA point guard and current Celtics assistant coach Sam Cassell wasn’t missed.

Cassell embraced Reese with a tight hug, keeping a hand on her shoulder while they spoke. And, as you would imagine, the internet had all sorts of things to say about it.

“you can’t fool me sam cassell. i’m familiar with your game,” a fan noted, having posted a video of them together.

Angel Reese Hit a Huge Milestone Last Weekend

Angel Reese recently participated in her first All-Star Game, having been selected as a first-year player following her arrival from LSU, a massive honor.

She scored 12 points and added 11 rebounds to help Team WNBA beat Team USA 117-109 on Saturday night.

“I get to luckily step on the floor with so many great players. I’m so happy to be here. I mean… I didn’t think I’d be here as a rookie. I definitely thought I would be here but not as a rookie,” she said before the contest.

Reese is likely to hit social media with a lot more during the rest of her stay in Europe. Stay tuned.
