Liverpool are set to enter a new era this summer, with manager Jurgen Klopp set to depart after almost nine years at the helm.
Michael Edwards has returned as the chief executive of football for Liverpool’s owners Fenway Sports Group, while Richard Hughes will become the club’s new sporting director once he leaves his role as Bournemouth’s technical director at the end of the season.
There could also be plenty of change on the field as well once Klopp’s successor is appointed and with all that in mind, Mirror Football have taken a look at six players who could depart Anfield this summer.
Caoimhin Kelleher
Hailed by Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk as “world class”, Kelleher has proved an excellent back-up for Alisson while the Brazilian has been sidelined with a hamstring injury in recent weeks.
However, with Alisson set to resume his role as No.1 once he returns to full fitness, it would not be a surprise to see Kelleher push for a move to a club where he will be first choice this summer. Both Wolves and Brentford were linked with the 25-year-old last summer.
Thiago Alcantara
Unfortunately for Thiago, his four years at Anfield have been marred by injury and with his current deal due to expire at the end of the season, it is highly unlikely Liverpool will look to extend it.
5 transfer options for rising Liverpool star tipped to leave club
Thiago has made just one appearance this season having picked up a muscle injury in February after returning to action for the first time in ten months following hip surgery. If he can get himself fit, a lucrative move abroad could beckon for a midfielder who has won league titles in both Spain and Germany.

Joel Matip
A brilliant servant for Liverpool in his eight years at the club, Matip is another whose contract is set to expire this summer, and while Klopp believes he deserves a new deal it seems more likely the defender will be on his way out.
The 32-year-old has been ruled out for the rest of the season after suffering an anterior cruciate ligament injury in December and a number of European clubs have been linked with a summer swoop for Matip, who won the Premier League, Champions League, FA Cup and League Cup with Liverpool.
Adrian
Coming to the end of his fifth year at the club, Adrian is another player who could also leave Liverpool when his contract is up this summer. The goalkeeper is currently third choice behind Alisson and Kelleher and has played just two games in the last three years.

Nat Phillips
Currently out on loan at Championship side Cardiff, Phillips could leave Liverpool permanently this summer after three loans in the last three years. At the age of 27, the time is right for him to seek a new challenge and he has been ever-present for Cardiff since joining the club in January amid interest from Leeds and Blackburn.
Mohamed Salah
The forward was heavily linked with a big-money move to Saudi Arabia last summer, but Liverpool ultimately rejected a £150million offer from Al-Ittihad and Salah has once again been in prolific form for the Reds.
However, with the 31-year-old out of contract in 2025, Liverpool could decide to cash in this summer if the Saudis return with another huge offer. They do have a number of other attacking options who could fill the void, while promising youngsters like Jayden Danns have also impressed this season.
