Angel Reese has found herself in some controversy to start the season, having ended last season holding a championship that also brought about some drama.

The LSU star came under criticism for her late-game taunting and wasn’t shy in saying she would not visit the White House after First Lady Jill Biden stated she wanted losers Iowa to come along too.

Reese was absent during the Tigers’ most recent game, having also gotten benched for the second half of the game before.

It’s rumored that she could be in some trouble over low grades while her mom has gotten into some online beef with the mother of one of her teammates.

Amid all of this, Angel has taken to Instagram to share a message from Colorado head coach Deion Sanders.

The women’s basketball star posted a popular video featuring Coach Prime to her story in which he addresses his haters.

“Look at me,” Sanders says in the clip from one of his press conferences earlier this year. “What about me would make you think that I care about your opinion of me. Your opinion of me is not the opinion that I have of myself. You ain’t make me so you can’t break me. You didn’t build me so you can’t kill me.

“You know what, God established me, so there ain’t nothing you can do to me. I’ve been him. I’ve been a difference-maker, a game-changer. I’ve been that guy. So what would change? Not a darn thing. I’m not even playing the game and you’ve got an opinion of me. I love it but I don’t care and I wish the world thought like that.

“Youngsters, if you’re out there right now, do not give a darn about what opinions people have of you. As long as that opinion is not consistent of that of yourself. You be you. I’m not paying to make you feel good about me. I already feel good about me. I’m good. Message for the youngsters out there and the old school.”

Reese is also friends with Prime’s son, Shedeur Sanders, who is the starting quarterback for the Colorado Buffaloes.

Meanwhile, LSU head coach Kim Mulkey is keeping mum on the situation, telling reporters she wouldn’t be answering any questions about Reese after saying she hopes the player will be back with them soon.
