Love Island star Joey Essex has landed himself in big trouble after spending a steamy night with ex-girlfriend Grace Jackson.

The Only Way Is Essex legend is, 33, in a couple with Samantha Kenny but he was picked by former flame Grace, 25, to spend a night in Casa Amor – and things got so X-rated producers were reportedly forced to cut some of the scenes from the ITV2 show. Joey and model Grace, who are thought to have dated for around a year after meeting in Ibiza, couldn’t keep their hands off each other as they were reunited. It came after Grace entered the Majorcan villa as a bombshell on Friday night.

Couples were rattled as the three newcomers picked an islander of their choice to join them in a steamy sleepover in Casa Amor, with Grace choosing her ex, Joey. The pair sent fans into a frenzy upon Grace’s first arrival with Joey opting for a three-way kiss with the blonde beauty and Tiffany.

But their stay in Casa Amor and off-the-charts chemistry gave bosses a hard time and TV bosses took the unexpected decision not to show the steamy scenes on camera. But in Monday night’s episode, Joey will have to face the music when he is reunited with makeup artist Samantha, 26, after returning from Casa Amor and resuming his couple.

Samantha has accused Joey of using her as a ‘placeholder’ – as fans suspect he may have known ex Grace was about to enter the villa – and she isn’t happy about it. In scenes to be shown tonight, Joey is set to pull Samantha for a chat after noticing she was upset.

Joey says: “I saw you upset earlier,” to which Samantha replies: “Well yeah, I feel embarrassed if I’m being completely honest. I just feel like a bit of a placeholder until someone else came in.” Though Joey tells her: “I didn’t want this to be the outcome”, he stops of revealing what really happened in Casa Amor when Samantha asked if he and Grace kissed (obviously they at least did that), so fans may never know!

The question on everyone’s lips is, will Joey and Grace get back together? His renewed romance with Grace comes after the reality TV star was coupled up with Samantha, who he stole from Sam Taylor, the first contestant to be dumped from Love Island after 24 hours.

And after an intense and short-lived romance in 2023 and a string of messages earlier this year, Grace and Joey seem to have dramatically reignited their bond with a source claiming: “It’s been a long time since we’ve seen chemistry like this on Love Island. We always wanted to bring sex back to the villa but didn’t expect this kind of tension so soon. There was genuinely so much footage of Joey and Grace at it in Casa Amor, bosses were spoilt for choice and some scenes had to be left out of the edit. Because they knew each other before, their entire relationship is on fast forward and it’s steamy stuff. Joey can’t keep his hands off her.”
