Angel Reese Is Blowing Up Online After Scary Moment With Sky-Fever Referee

Angel Reese and the Chicago Sky are finally back on track, riding a two-game win streak after an 88-87 victory over Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever. Reese’s in-game moment with the referees has been going viral on social media after she exchanged some words with Fever forward NaLyssa Smith.

Reese and Smith seemed to be exchanging some friendly banter, and the referee decided to step in before the situation got out of hand. When she walked up to Reese, looking to calm her down, Reese said “We good.”

The video of Reese’s altercation with Smith currently has over 5.5k retweets and 3.8 million views, per Misha Jones on X.

It seemed like the officiating crew was ready to blow the whistle in the scary moment, potentially receiving a technical foul or warning, but Reese made sure to explain the interaction.

Reese ended the night with an all-time rookie performance, posting 25 points and 16 rebounds. She’s been known for her intense demeanor, and it showed with all the emotions of facing Clark and the Fever on Sunday.

The rookie is a physical player who thrives off her insane tenacity. Sometimes, it gets the first-year star into trouble with the officiating crew, but she slipped away clean after her conversation with the ref.
