Jason Kelce has admitted that he regrets his retirement decision because og one of the moves the Philadelphia Eagles have made this offseason.

The Eagles have acquired one of the best running backs in the NFL, signing Saquon Barkley to a three-year deal in free agency and possibly prompting Kelce to consider a comeback.

Speaking to his brother, Travis, on their ‘New Heights’ podcast, the former center expressed pretend anger at Howie Roseman for waiting until he retired to pull off such a move.

He also lamented over the fact that he won’t be part of the new-look Eagles side.

“A little bit upset Howie [Roseman] waited ‘til I retired to make a move like this, but you know, it’s fine,” he said. “This is what I’m regretting. I knew when I retired that I was going to miss an outstanding season for the Philadelphia Eagles. And it sucks, it really does. I want to be a part of this so bad, I wish I could.”

Kelce also sees the bright side as he pointed out that he will be able to enjoy Eagles football as a fan, although we suspect he’s probably going to be a Kansas City Chiefs fan too…

Jason Kelce Thinks Saquon Barkley Will Have Even More Success In Philadelphia

Jason reckons the former New York Giants star is heading into a great situation as Philly boasts one of the league’s best and most consistent offensive lines, albeit without him.

“I’m happy for Saquon,” he offered. “You’re coming to a team that has had a legitimate offensive line established for a very long time, coming to a coach who’s been there for a long time, and they’ve had proven success with nearly every running back.”

Jason and Travis Kelce’s New Heights scoops Podcast of the Year at the iHeart Radio Awards… before NFL duo joke ‘people actually listen to this?’ and thank ‘Swifties’ for voting them to victory!

Jason and Travis Kelce‘s incredible year reached New Heights on Monday when the popular NFL duo scooped Podcast of the Year at the iHeart Radio Awards.

The brothers have enjoyed a wild few months, with Travis winning the Super Bowl and Jason retiring from football – while their podcast also shot to the top of the charts.

Now, the Kelces have been rewarded with a trophy after their New Heights Show beat out the likes of My Favorite Murder and SmartLess to win Podcast of the Year.

Neither brother was in attendance at the ceremony in Austin, Texas, but they did record a video message for the audience, in which Travis joked: ‘Get the f*** outta here… people actually listen to this?’

Jason then went on to thank Taylor Swift‘s fans for voting for them to win – amid his brother Travis’ high profile relationship with the pop superstar.

Beginning their acceptance speech, Jason said: ‘Right now, we are actually talking to the entire iHeart Radio Awards audience,’ before Travis added: ‘Oh s***, well we wish we could be there guys, but we are honored to accept this award.’

The Kansas City Chiefs tight end then added: ‘Podcast of the Year is big s***,’ before Jason continued: ‘It’s an incredible honor, especially for two jabronis like us.

‘To receive an award like this is beyond humbling, and we would be remiss if we didn’t immediately thank all the 92 percenters, AKA Swifties, for voting for us.’

Earlier in the night, the Kelce brothers had also won Best Overall Ensemble, but had missed out on Best Sports Podcast to Shannon Sharpe’s Club Shay Shay.

In accepting his award on stage, Sharpe joked: ‘I wanted to win this award so bad. No, seriously.’

Although the Kelces couldn’t be in attendance personally, Travis is back on US soil after spending time with his girlfriend Taylor Swift in both Australia and Singapore.

The pop sensation is continuing her sold-out Eras Tour, and Travis joined her for a handful of shows after the end of the NFL season.
