Women’s basketball fans have been waiting months to see superstar rookies Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark face off for the first time in the WNBA.

Both women became household names in 2023, after Reese taunted Clark minutes before winning the 2023 NCAA Championship with the LSU Tigers.

Well over a year later, both Reese and Clark’s fame has increased tenfold, and they’re each settling in to their respective WNBA teams.

And fans are now just one day away from seeing them compete as members of the Chicago Sky and Indiana Fever.

Yet, Reese made an admission before her Thursday game against the Los Angeles Sparks that has caught people’s attention.

When a Chicago reporter asked Reese what the biggest lesson she has learned in the WNBA so far is, Reese responded with, “Defense leads to offense.”

She then discussed how she has already defended some of the league’s best forwards, then admitted, “I’m raw. Obviously, I’m a rookie. There’s so much more potential that I have, and things that I can work off of.”
