Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese send a heartfelt 3-word message of Prayer for WNBA Rookie Cameron Brink when there is a high possibility that the star will have to miss the rest of the season in tears.

Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese sent fellow WNBA rookie sensation Cameron Brink classy messages after the Los Angeles Sparks forward tore her ACL on Tuesday night against the Connecticut Sun.

Brink was the No 2 overall pick in this year’s WNBA Draft, one after Clark. While she had not garnered as much limelight as Reese or Clark as part of the skyrocketing of interest in women’s basketball, Brink had developed a solid fan base.

Brink is also popular with her fellow WNBA rookies, as they have played with and against her for years.

Reese’s message was posted to her Instagram story, with a picture of her and Brink from the draft.

‘I pray God wraps his hands around you and heals you back even better! Love you my Barbie doll,’ Reese said.

‘Obviously devastating,’ Clark said. ‘You don’t want to see anybody deal with any sort of injury, obviously an injury of that magnitude.’

‘I know she’s the type of person that’ll be able to get through it and come out through it stronger,’ Clark continued. ‘It just breaks your heart. She’s such a good basketball player, but an even better person. … Knowing the type of person she is, this will only make her better in the long run.’

Indiana Fever head coach Christie Sides also sent her well wishes to the Sparks star: ‘My thoughts are with the LA team… that’s just really sad, hoping the best for [Cameron Brink].’

Reese showing love off the court for Brink is in contrast with her fiery side on the court, including recent drama with Clark.

During Sunday’s Fever victory over Reese’s Chicago Sky, the former LSU star committed a flagrant foul on Clark where she missed a block and smacked her in the head.

After the game, Reese doubled down, saying the Fever and Clark ‘got a special whistle’.

Clark did not fire back at Reese, as there appears to be mutual respect from all three.
