Taylor Swift Finally Applauds Travis Kelce’s Onstage Performance in London

Travis Kelce has been Taylor Swift’s number one fan since the couple started dating last autumn, with the NFL star frequently seen singing and dancing along to her Eras Tour shows. At Sunday night’s show at London’s Wembley Stadium, everyone’s favorite internet boyfriend went one step further and joined his megastar girlfriend on stage.

During the transition between “The Smallest Man That Ever Lived” and “I Can Do It with a Broken Heart” (both from Swift’s latest album, The Tortured Poets Department), Kelce took to the stage in a top hat and tails to assist Swift with her costume change, which involved her changing from a white Vivienne Westwood gown to a crystal-embellished two-piece.

The American player was clearly in his element and executed the choreography down to a tee, at one point carrying his girlfriend across the stage, before helping her touch up her make-up. While making your on-stage debut in front of a Beatle and 89,000 others at Wembley Stadium might faze some, it seems there’s nothing that Kelce can’t take in his stride. All in a day’s work, when you’re the boyfriend of one of the most famous pop stars in the world.

Taylor appreciated Travis in her thank you post to fans that came to see her in London. She wrote Wembley Stadium round one was so surreal. Looking out into crowds of 90,000 fans each night and hearing that VOLUME… Those were some of the loudest crowds I’ve ever heard. Acoustic sections went OFF. I got to sing ‘Castles Crumbling’ with @yelyahwilliams for the first time – hadn’t performed with her since 2011 and man my heart was just so full of love for her and our friendship”.

“Then the impossibly gifted and wonderful @gracieabrams came and surprised the crowd with the first performance of our song ‘us.’ And I’m still cracking up/swooning over @killatrav’s Eras Tour debut 🥰 Never going to forget these shows. Can’t wait to do it 5 more times in August. Up next: Dublin!!”

It’s been a spectacular weekend for the first London leg of Swift’s Eras tour (Swift will return to Wembley with five more shows in August), with Kelce proving to be a major hit with the A-listers. On Friday night, Prince William was seen dancing passionately to “Shake it Off” with his two eldest children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, to celebrate his 42nd birthday. The royals later went backstage and snapped selfies with Swift and Kelce (which the pop star used to publicize her relationship on Instagram).

Tom Cruise, Ashton Kutcher, Mila Kunis, Greta Gerwig, and Rachel Zegler were among the celebs partying in the VIP tent at the second London event on Saturday night. Hugh Grant later tweeted: “Dear @taylorswift13, You have a wonderful show, an outstanding and very welcoming team, and an excellent, but massive boyfriend (#tequilashots). Thank you so much from an aged London guy, his wife, and a delighted eight-year-old.”

Meanwhile, Sophie Turner, Cate Blanchett, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Andrew Scott, and Paul McCartney were all present on Sunday night, with the latter seen dancing to “But Daddy I Love Him” with other Swifties in the audience.
