Caitlin Clark has celebrated her one-year anniversary with boyfriend Connor McCaffrey, after a whirlwind week where she was the first pick in the WNBA Draft.
Clark shared a black-and-white picture of the couple to her Instagram with the caption: ‘One year of the best mems w my fav person.
‘You make everyday better and I can’t wait for many more adventures together… love you.’
McCaffrey returned the gesture with a heartfelt tribute of his own, writing on Instagram: ‘One year with the best.
‘Doing life with u has been easy, and you never cease to amaze me. Can’t wait to watch u live out ur (sic) dreams in person. Love you.’

Clark was the first pick in last week’s WNBA Draft and has now joined Indiana Fever
The couple went Instagram-official back in August and met at Iowa. McCaffrey was a talented baseball player and even once had designs on trying to make the MLB Draft but the pandemic derailed his plans.
Last week, Clark was drafted by the Indiana Fever with the first pick and is widely backed to take the WNBA by storm.
She averaged 31.6 points and leading the Hawkeyes to a second straight national championship game.
Clark is expected to sign a $28million, eight-year deal with Nike as well in an agreement that will see her launch her own signature shoe.
But according to Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy, Clark should be paid a lot more.
‘If people want to complain about Caitlin Clark getting screwed complain about this,’ Portnoy wrote on X earlier this week. ‘8 year 28 million deal is STEALING. 8 years 80 million min is her worth and that’s still prob too cheap.
‘I hope she has an early opt out if they don’t pay up when she blows through this deal.’
Clark also received offers of $16million over four years from Under Armour and $6million over four years from Adidas, with both including a signature shoe, according to the WSJ.
Clark is set to earn narrowly over $76,000 as her starting salary in her first season with the Fever.
Their first game of the season is May 14, against Connecticut Sun.
