Stephen A. Smith, the ever-outspoken analyst has news for everyone but Dub Nation fans aren’t going to be happy about this truth bomb.
In a live premiere of his show, “The Stephen A. Smith Show,” he stated, “What we got here is the ascension that nobody is talking about because I got news for you, it might be a shocker to ya’ll, I don’t give a damn right now about the Golden State Warriors.”
But that’s not all that he said! He makes a bold assertion, “Dynasty is over.”
This comes in the wake of the discord between Warriors superstar Stephen Curry and Coach Steve Kerr.
The Golden State Warriors, the 10th seed in the West, lost 114-110 to the Minnesota Timberwolves yesterday.
Curry exited the court with 4 minutes remaining in the 3rd quarter and only returned with just over 6 minutes left in the 4th.
In the post-game presser, Chef Curry addresses the issue by stating, “I want to play as many minutes as I’m fresh and able to, so I’m a little bit [surprised] knowing that they were going on a run… Our lead was withering away.”
Coach Steve Kerr had a response for keeping Curry’s minute lesser in yesterday’s game, he stated, “We can’t expect to just ride Steph game after game after game…We’ve put the burden of this franchise on his shoulders for 15 years.
We can’t expect him to play 35 minutes … If you want to say that him playing 30 minutes instead of 32 is a difference between a win and a loss, I totally disagree with that.
We’re trying to win the game. And we’re trying to keep him fresh, too.”
Stephen A. Smith further pointed out that he couldn’t question Coach Kerr’s decision considering he has managed to get the Warriors to 6 championship appearances in 8 years.
However, he did state “change is coming,” for the way the team has trodden this season.
Golden State Warriors fall against the Timberwolves
For their last game, the Warriors fell to the Wolves 114-110.
Repping the Wolves in one corner, was the Ant-Man who led his team with 23 points, 6 rebounds, and dished out 8 assists.
Naz Reid who’s been going off lately, bagged a double-double with 20 points and 12 rebounds.
Frenchman Gobert came in hot with another double-double with 17 points and 12 rebounds. Mike Conley Jr. chipped in 14 points along with 7 assists.
On the other side of the court, the Chef tried moving with 31 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 assists, however, the Dubs fell short.
Wiggins dropped 15 points, Kuminga with 14 points and big man Draymond Green came through with 12 points, 8 rebounds, and 3 assists but to no respite.
Klay Thompson came off the bench to chip in 16 points, 3 rebounds, and 2 assists.
