BallyIf Luka Doncic always shows his frustration towards the referees very clearly, it is rarer to see him lose his temper against his teammates. However, this was the case this Tuesday in the defeat against the Pacers. So he spoke about them.

Luka Doncic is undoubtedly one of the best players on the planet, and yet he is struggling to elevate his team to the heights of the Western Conference. A few weeks before the end of the regular season, the Mavericks seem almost condemned to play in the play-in, which is not necessarily in agreement with the level of the Slovenian.

With 34.5 points, 9.7 assists and 8.9 rebounds on average, No. 77 should be fighting for the MVP title, not for a place in the playoffs. And it’s something that is visibly starting to weigh on him, as he showed this Tuesday during the defeat against the Pacers. On the field and on the bench, he let his frustration explode for everyone to see.

Luka Doncic angry with his teammates?

Luka Doncic is in his prime, and at 25 years old, he is already ready to play leading roles in the league on a collective level. Faced with the limitations of Dallas and certain teammates this Tuesday, he was rather clear at the press conference. Out of the question for him to pass the blame, he sent a big message to those who will accompany him, or not, in the playoffs:

We have to be positive. Markieff Morris talked in the locker room, he always talks. He helps us a lot, he helps me too. He is the voice of the locker room and you have to listen to what he says. Our communication is always good, I always have confidence in my teammates. But simply at the defensive level, we have to change things.

With 39 points, 11 assists and 10 rebounds against the Pacers, the Slovenian was once again very good for Dallas. Unfortunately for him, something still seems to be holding his team back, which is starting to annoy him. Despite the apparent frustration, he remained mostly positive towards his teammates, proof that he can be a good leader.

After missing the playoffs last season, Luka Doncic was certainly considering another scenario for his Mavericks… But in all likelihood, he will once again have to finish outside the Top 6 of his conference.
