Currently injured and in the infirmary, Victor Wembanyama must be content to watch his teammates from afar. The latter were officially eliminated from the race for the playoffs, and a tweet annoyed the fans quite a bit.
Blame it on the latest NBA results, the Spurs no longer have any chance of reaching the playoffs next April.
We can’t say it’s a surprise for one of the worst teams in the league accounting-wise, while the Wizards and Pistons are also in the mix.
However, fans are hoping for a different scenario from next year.

It will take several seasons to allow the Spurs to play for the title again, but the front office will do an initial cleaning of the roster this summer.
The objective is simple: better surround Victor Wembanyama, who will need help in defense for example.
Still, his absence in the playoffs for his first season got people talking this Friday.

The news is not surprising, however.
The Spurs are rebuilding and it is clear that the squad did not have the level to go very far, especially in a formidable Western conference.

No Victor Wembanyama in the playoffs, even if we can say that the supporters had suspected it for a long time. The road will be long for the Frenchman, aware that it will take time for the leaders to build a solid squad.
