Women’s basketball phenomenon, Cailtin Clark embodies the future of the WNBA and particularly that of its Indiana Fever franchise. But almost two months after her professional debut, the young player released a worrying statement…
Not a week goes by without talking about the WNBA and especially Caitlin Clark.
Drafted first overall this spring after dropping a legendary college career, the point guard has literally exploded the media coverage of the women’s basketball league.
She’s not the only one to have contributed to this of course, but the hype that has surrounded her for months is beyond comparison.
The former Iowa player has been on the WNBA court for six weeks now.
It’s been a turbulent start, as she was at the heart of a controversy based on anti-white racism and was openly targeted by her opponents on the court.
But judging by the nugget’s recent comments to journalists, it seems that she is not exactly supported within her own locker room…
Caitlin Clark alone at the Fever?
Caitlin Clark was asked what the best advice she’s received from veterans this season was. Her response: “No one gives me advice during games. I wish they did.”
That opponents do not come to his aid during matches is not very surprising. But even so, your teammates don’t want to give you advice… The Fever roster is certainly young but still includes players like Erica Wheeler and Damiris Dantas, who each have eight seasons in the WNBA under their belt. They could therefore teach Clark a lot during his rookie year…
They’re too busy hating her, it’s sad🤦🏽♂️
Damn I feel bad for her😕
Is Caitlin Clark totally alone in the WNBA, including within her own team? We are entitled to ask the question after the point guard’s comments. Her debut at the professional level has definitely not been easy…
