if you thought today’s game between the Iowa Hawkeyes and South Carolina Gamecocks would be free of any officiating controversy, think again.

It took only one quarter for fans to start crying “rigged” after Hawkeyes star Caitlin Clark appeared to get away with a blatant foul before hitting a three-pointer to put her team up, 10-0 out of the gate.

It’s shocking that the officials somehow missed the aggressive push-off from Clark, as it sent her opponent sprawling several feet across the floor.

Despite how obvious that foul may have been, the officials decided to turn a blind eye. And everyone on social media was quick to blast the refs for favoring Clark and rigging the game for Iowa.

Of course, this isn’t the first time that NCAA refs have been accused of rigging a game for Caitlin Clark and the Hawkeyes. Just two days ago, everyone was making the same remarks after the UConn Huskies were called for a late offensive foul in their Final Four loss to Iowa.

Caitlin Clark Has One Final Mission

Caitlin Clark has seemingly done it all at the college level, except win a national championship.

Last season, she came oh so close, as her Iowa Hawkeyes were just one win away when they lost to the LSU Tigers in the title game. They have a shot at redemption just one year later, but their faced with an even tougher test as they must defeat a South Carolina club that hasn’t been beaten yet this season.

If Clark can get the victory today and earn that elusive championship, it would be the perfect way to end her legendary career at Iowa.
