The college basketball world was dealt their dream matchup for the Elite 8 of the NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament, as Caitlin Clark and the Iowa Hawkeyes will take on Angel Reese and the LSU Tigers with a spot in the Final Four on the line.
Clark and Reese will do battle for the first time since their epic showdown in last year’s NCAA tournament finals, where Angel infamously taunted Caitlin with her ring celebration.
Clark and the no. 1 ranked Iowa Hawkeyes earned their spot in the Elite 8 with a convincing 89-68 victory over no. 5 Colorado. Afterwards, a photo of Clark walking on the court in street clothes went viral on social media, with some suggesting that the Hawkeyes star may have been hiding something from us all along.

Caitlin Clark Looking For Revenge Against Angel Reese and LSU
Iowa entered last year’s championship game against LSU as the higher-ranked team, but they couldn’t keep up with Kim Mulkey’s squad, losing by a score of 102-85. Clark did have a game-high 30 points to go along with 8 assists and two rebounds, but it wasn’t enough, as the Hawkeyes defense struggled to contain all of the star power on the Tigers’ roster.
Both teams will be bringing back some key players from last year’s matchup. When it’s all said and done, Monday’s game could very well end up being the most watched game of this year’s tournament.
