Caitlin Clark Couldn’t Help But Like A Perfect Tweet About Herself
Last Monday, former Iowa Hawkeye Caitlin Clark was selected with the first overall pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft by the Indiana Fever.
Less than 24 hours following her being drafted, Clark’s new Fever jersey was sold out on almost all online shops, including Fanatics.
Dick Weiss, a Hall of Fame sportswriter who covers college basketball, posted this about Clark’s jersey sales to his social media. “Caitlin Clark sold more Fever jerseys in one day than the Cowboys sold last year for the entire team.”
The Dallas Cowboys are America’s most popular team in America’s most popular sport, so this is a massive accomplishment and shows how much of an impact Clark has.
Clark showed her appreciation for the post by liking it on social media.
Caitlin Clark Has Competition In The WNBA Jersey Sales Department
Former Iowa Hawkeyes superstar Caitlin Clark has stolen the show for the WNBA over the past week. Almost instantly after being drafted with the first overall pick last week, her new Indiana Fever jersey sold out.
But Clark is not the only WNBA newcomer to sellout their jersey.
With the seventh overall pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft, the Chicago Sky selected former LSU Tigers sensation Angel Reese.
On Sunday, the college basketball superstar and NCAAW Champion announced on her social media page that her jersey has already sold out. She posted “my jersey already being sold is crazy. i love yalllll.”
If you want to get either Reese’s or Clark’s new WNBA jerseys, you’re probably going to have to wait a while. The WNBA has never been more popular than it is now with a dose of Women’s College Basketball stars coming in.
