Angel Reese has been away from the LSU Tigers, and no one seems to know what the reason is.

The star forward was benched for the second half of a game against Kent State early last week and hasn’t suited up since, leading to lots of speculation as some are claiming that she’s not been able to play due to poor grades.

Reese’s mom has also gotten into it with the mother of one of her teammates in what’s been a drama-filled period for the 21-year-old. But she is remaining active on social media and, in one of her latest posts, fired at her detractors with a TikTok video bearing a message from Deion Sanders.

“Look at me,” Sanders is heard saying while the basketball star walks around in a robe. “What about me would make you think that I care about your opinion of me”

“Your opinion of me is not the opinion that I have of myself. You ain’t make me so you can’t break me. You didn’t build me so you can’t kill me. You know what, God established me, so there ain’t nothing you can do to me.”

Reese previously posted a video of Coach Prime delivering the soundbite at a press conference earlier this year.

Meanwhile, LSU head coach Kim Mulkey is refusing to disclose the reason for Reese’s absence or offer insight on when she could be back.

“We always have to deal with locker room issues,” she told a reporter this week. “That’s just part of coaching. … Sometimes you want to know more than you’re entitled to know. I’m going to protect my players. Always. They are more important and it’s like a family.”

“If you do some disciplining of your own children, do you think we’re entitled to know that?” she asked. “That’s a family in that locker room.”
