Taylor Swift has been making subtle changes to her Eras Tour set list throughout the long run of shows and fans in Zurich were treated to a rendition of ‘Last Kiss’, which is thought to be about her breakup with Joe Jonas.

The relationship between the Jonas Brother and Swift was a very public one and whilst it has never been explicitly stated, fans are convinced that Last Kiss is about their break up.

The Zurich show in question happened on Tuesday, July 9, and that date is actually mentioned in the song. The pair broke up a very long time ago, so the assumption is that the coincidental date is why she chose to play it.

“I do recall now the smell of the rain, fresh on the pavement, I ran off the plane / That July 9th, the beat of your heart / It jumps through your shirt, I can still feel your arms,” the lyrics say.

That song has not been played live by Swift since July 8, 2023, when she was playing in Kansas City, Missouri. There is a certain irony there as she is now in a relationship with Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.

Swift and Jonas dated back in 2008 for a handful of months before their relationship soured.

Swift infamously took aim at Jonas during a November 2008 interview on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” when she hinted that he broke her heart via a short phone call.

“Some day, I’m gonna find somebody really, really, really great, who’s right for me … When I find that person that is right for me, he’ll be wonderful and when I look at that person, I’m not even gonna be able to remember the boy who broke up with me over the phone in 25 seconds when I was 18,” she quipped.
