Britain’s Got Talent hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly lived their “nightmare” on Saturday night as they pleaded “make it stop” over one surprise audition

Britain’s Got Talent hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly pleaded “make it stop” over one surprise audition on Saturday night.

During the latest instalment, judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and Bruno Tonioli were shocked to suddenly see a montage of Simon flash up on stage. Simon was left baffled over the montage as all of a sudden a man, dressed as Simon, appeared on stage singing The Best by Tina Turner.

Ant and Dec were left in hysterics over Simon’s reaction as he covered his face. However, the act was far from over as hundreds of people dressed as Simon entered the stage to sing along. Speaking backstage, Ant admitted: “It’s like a nightmare I had once… make it stop, make it stop!”

After the choir act, called Simply Simon, performed judge Simon admitted he was “very overwhelmed” and “embarrassed” but soon exclaimed the group had four yeses as he rushed on stage to greet them all. Simon quipped afterwards: “That’s how you get a yes!”

It comes as Britain’s Got Talent is in a huge ITV schedule shake-up next week. The hit competition show typically airs on Saturday evenings with occasional double bills on Sundays for the launch of the series or finals. However, next week, Britain’s Got Talent will be pulled from its usual Saturday schedule and will instead air on Sunday night.

Instead of getting Britain’s Got Talent on Saturday 11 May, In With A Shout and Casino Royale will be airing from 7pm until 10:40pm. However, despite not airing on Saturday evening, BGT will instead air on Sunday 12 May at 7:40pm. It comes as the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 will be airing on Saturday 11 May from 8pm until 11:55pm on BBC One, where Olly Alexander will represent the United Kingdom and perform hit track Dizzy.
