Richard Madeley could be saying his goodbyes to Good Morning Britain.
The TV veteran, 68, made his debut on the long-running ITV show in 2017. No stranger to hosting a prime-time show, it didn’t take long for Richard to settle into the GMB family.
And in October last year, Richard’s comments towards British Palestinian MP Layla Moran racked up 2378 complaints, making it the show’s second-most complained about episode of 2023.
As a result, viewers have often called on GMB bosses to give Richard the boot – something even co-host Susanna has previously addressed to defend Richard. But now, bookies reckon some of the viewers could get their wish. In exclusive odds provided by BonusCodeBets, they have chalked up Richard at 10/1 odds to leave the show in 2025. For 2026, the odds are 4/1 followed by 2027, with odds of 6/1.
The expert then pointed out how Richard turning his hand to fiction recently with his book, Father’s Day, could be the reason for his exit as he would have “more time to focus on writing.”
something else. With the release of his new book ‘Father’s Day’,Richard would have much more time to focus on writing if he stepped away from Good Morning Britain.”Dom then noted how GMB has seen several changes in recent months, pointing out the exit of Ben Shephard as an example.
He said: “While it would disrupt the current makeup of the GMB team, as one of the most popular breakfast TV shows, several presenters would be delighted to take over Richard’s role if he did decide to leave.”
