Ever since becoming a member of the Chicago Sky, Angel Reese has been adding on to her already massive fanbase,
The success that the “Chi Barbie” has had on the court has proven to her doubters that she’s capable of being an elite WNBA player for years to come.
But it’s her off court charisma that seems to have fans captivated.
And during Reese’s most recent game against the Washington Mystics, she met up with a fan who knows a thing or two about basketball success: Kevin Durant’s mom.

And the two took a photo together after the game ended.
The post currently has nearly 70,000 views and 500 reposts. And some fans are using the photo to speculate on whether Mrs. Durant is trying to set her son up.
“KD might be getting married soon. Lol” one fan wrote.
“She’s trying to put her son on. She’s tired of seeing him practicing in the club. She want grandkids,” said another.
Let’s see whether anything comes from this interaction.

“That’s my favorite player” – Angel Reese dubs Kevin Durant as her favorite NBA player
Recently, when Angel Reese was in attendance at the WNBA draft, she spoke with media members after being drafted by the Chicago Sky. At the time, media members asked the LSU star and NCAA Champion to pick an NBA player as a potential 2-on-2 partner.
Without much hesitation, Reese quickly name-dropped two-time NBA champion Kevin Durant. After some pushback for another name given the number of players before her who also dubbed KD as their ideal teammate, Reese doubled down, explaining:
“I can’t. That’s my favorite player and he is from DMV, so I can’t pick anyone else.”
Note: DMV stands for DC-Maryland-Virginia, the area where Reese and Durant are both from.
While Durant has yet to attend a Chicago Sky game to watch Reese play, the future Hall of Famer notably attended a recent Phoenix Mercury-Dallas Wings game. In addition, Durant has also been an avid supporter of the WNBA for several years now, promoting the league both in word and in action.
For example, Durant has worn several WNBA shirts during warmups to promote the league, as well as speaking about the league on his podcast.
