Chicago Sky rookie Angel Reese has received a lot of backlash in the last few days following Saturday’s game against Clark’s fever. Now, she is back in the headlines after a bizarre incident, this time with the match referee.

Reese was ejected from Sky’s game against the New York Liberty for waiving off the referee for a call she didn’t like. The incident occurred in the fourth quarter, with the Sky trailing. Reese received a technical foul for an aggressive defense against a Liberty player.

However, the No. 7 overall pick was not happy with the call and showed a waive-off gesture to the referee in frustration, which led to a second technical foul and ejection.

Despite the ejection, Reese had a good outing, finishing with 13 points and 10 rebounds. However, it was not enough as Liberty cruised to an 88-75 victory.

Social Media Lashes Out After Controversial Foul

After the shocking ejection from tonight’s game, social media was into action as they lashed out at the referee for a harsh call.

Last week, the young WNBA sensation and her teammate, Chennedy Carter, were at the center of a controversy after the latter did a hip-check to push Indiana Fever’s Caitlin Clark onto the ground, while Reese jumped off the bench to applaud.
