Ella Emhoff sets the internet alight with her appearance as she urges America to vote for her ‘Momala’ Kamala Harris

Kamala Harris’ stepdaughter Ella Emhoff took the stage Thursday night at the Democratic National Convention ahead of her stepmom or ‘Momala’ for a touching tribute and to rally support.

The 25-year-old artist and model was all smiles as she was joined on stage by the vice president’s niece Meena Harris as well as her goddaughter Helena Hudlin.

Their appearance comes on the fourth night of the convention as the Democratic party introduces Harris to the American people as their presidential nominee before she formally accepts the presidential nomination.

They called the 59-year-old vice president who they know on a personal level an ‘extraordinary woman.’

‘Kamala came into my life when I was fourteen, famously a very easy time for a teenager,’ Emhoff said.

‘Like a lot of young people, I didn’t always understand what I was feeling, but no matter what, Kamala was there.’

‘She was patient, caring and always took me seriously,’ Emhoff said. ‘She never stopped listening to me, and she’s not going to stop listening to all of us.’

The tattooed Emhoff with slicked back hair and attired in a white and ice blue off-the-shoulder dress designed especially for the occasion by Joe Ando ignited the internet with her appearance on the convention stage.

Emhoff, who is known for her knitting, crocheted the flower on her dress’ sleeve herself, Ando revealed.

Ella Emhoff shared how she met her stepmom, who she refers to as ‘Momala’ at the DNC and said the VP will never stop listening to ‘all of us’

‘Ella Emhoff’s dress just won the #DNCConvention2024,’ wrote one user on X.

‘Ella Emhoff is going to be a fashion icon,’ wrote another.

‘They forced Ella Emhoff into a dress for this,’ joked an X user of the artist who often opts for more hipster looks. ‘My goodness Kamala Harris wants power.’

Emhoff is no stranger to the attention.

She’s joined her stepmom and father, Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff, at a number of political events over the years including the inauguration in 2021.

As a model and artist based in Brooklyn, she has appeared in multiple major fashion campaigns and on the red carpet for the Met Gala.

At the convention, Emhoff spoke of what she believes her stepmom will fight for as president.

‘She’s fighting for social justice, health justice, environmental justice and she isn’t alone, we’re all in this fight together,’ Emhoff said.

The convention has been a family affair for the Harris-Emhoff family.

The second gentleman gave a speech on Night Two of the convention Tuesday.

Before he spoke, Harris’ 30-year-old stepson and Ella’s brother Cole narrated a video about his dad.

The video was produced by Emhoff’s ex-wife and Ella and Cole’s mom Kerstin Emhoff who has also been in attendance in Chicago this week.

Throughout the week, Ella Emhoff has been in attendance to cheer her family on in a series of trendy outfits that have been the talk of the internet.

In her own remarks on Thursday, Meena Harris, who is the daughter of the vice president’s sister Maya, said the vice president ‘guided me, now she’s guiding my own children, and I know she’ll guide our country forward.’

Hudlin spoke of how Harris talking about making a difference and ‘giving your whole heart.’
