‘Y’all Women Petty!’ Charles Barkley Defends Caitlin Clark Against WNBA Jealousy
Ever since her recent entry into the WNBA as the draft’s top pick – and maybe the most hyped pick ever – all Caitlin Clark has really done is …
Her job.
And yet along with the positive attention from both inside WNBA and around the entire sports world, there has come talk of bias and sexuality and favoritism and race …
And no less a loud voice than Charles Barkley isn’t going to stand by quietly.
“You women out there, y’all petty man,” Barkley said on Wednesday night before Game 1 of the NBA Playoffs Western Finals series between the Dallas Mavs and rhe Minnesota Timberwolves.
Barkley, the star of ‘Inside the NBA,” was echoing some of what Lakers superstar LeBron James recently said in pointing out that Clark’s popularity is lining the pockets of all involved in the league … and that therefore all involved in the league should be appreciative of her presence.

LeBron said it his way – “Don’t get it (bleeped) up …”
And Barkley said it his way as well.
LeBron, you are 100 percent right on these girls hating on Caitlin Clark,” Chuck said. “Y’all petty girls. Y’all should be thanking that girl for getting y’all (butts) private charters and all the money and visibility she’s bringing in to the WNBA.”
The “private charters” remark is in reference to an immediate rule change in the league necessitated by Clark. Her popularity has forced owners to allow WNBA players to traveled by chartered flights instead of commercial, as their male counterparts in the NBA do.
Barkley literally stared right into his TV camera on national TV to make sure his targets are aware of his position.
“Don’t be petty like dudes,” he said.
