Fever Fans Crave Christie Sides’ Firing For Caitlin Clark Coaching Decision During Loss

The Indiana Fever suffered a disappointing loss to the Washington Mystics on Wednesday.

Considering that the Fever were at home and that the Mystics were 5-17 leading into the game, the expectation was that Indiana would be able to secure a relatively easy victory.

But due to inconsistent play and some suspect coaching decisions by head coach Christie Sides, the Fever suffered an embarrassing loss that will set them back in the WNBA standings.

One controversial decision Sides made was drawing up a play for someone other than Caitlin Clark during the game’s final possession.

“Christie Sides watched Caitlin Clark drop 29 and decided to draw up a play where she wouldn’t touch the ball with 16 seconds left….” one fan wrote.

“The only person who can stop Caitlin Clark is her coach Christie Sides. This is at least the third time the game has come down to a last shot that she hasn’t even touched the ball. Atrocious coaching,” added another.

A third fan said, “Dumb coach Christie Sides must B fired! And she’s still taking CLARK out 4 defense?! Ugh!”

It’s inexcusable for Clark to not even touch the ball during the game’s most important possession.
