Chicago Sky rookie Angel Reese recently revealed her favorite WNBA player.
While playing “On the Clock” with the Sky’s social media team, the first-year star quickly mentioned WNBA legend Candace Parker as number one on her all-time favorites list.
During her 16 seasons in the WNBA, Parker averaged 16.0 points and 8.5 rebounds per game.
While Reese is just 22 years old, she’s on her way toward an incredible career in the WNBA. The Sky rookie is averaging 13.5 points and 12.0 rebounds through the first 23 games of the season.
The 6-foot-3 forward set the new all-time WNBA record for most consecutive double-doubles with 15 straight during her rookie season—breaking the record Parker previously set. That streak ended on July 13 against the New York Liberty, when Reese posted eight points and 16 rebounds in an 81-67 loss at home.

Reese shares a similar build with Parker, both having a high motor on both ends of the floor, so it’s easy to see why the WNBA legend is her favorite.
Chicago’s star rookie is headed to the WNBA All-Star game on July 20, already having a leg up on Parker regarding career accomplishments. The former WNBA champion didn’t make the All-Star game until her fourth season with the Los Angeles Sparks.
It’s clear that Reese has great respect for Parker, and the rookie may be able to carve out a legendary career of her own in the WNBA.
