The sensational rookie from LSU earned three major honors all in the last few days.

Last Sunday night, the Chicago Sky star was awarded BET’s Sportswoman of the Year. The award is given out to the best and most successful female athlete of the previous year. This was the second consecutive year that she has won this award.

Reese edged out A’ja Wilson, CoCo Goff, JuJu Watkins, Naomi Osaka, Simone Biles, former teammate Flau’Jae Johnson and legendary LSU Olympian Sha’Carri Richardson.

She was also named the WNBA’s rookie of the month in June after setting an ongoing record for consecutive double doubles.

Finally, perhaps the biggest news of all, Angel was named to the WNBA All-Star team.

After the Sky’s victory over the Atlanta Dream, a tearful but joyous Reese said, “I’m just so happy.

I know the work I put in…coming into this league, so many people doubted me and didn’t think my game would translate and I wouldn’t be the player that I was in college…

I can’t thank my teammates and coaches enough for just believing in me and trusting me.”

Reese and the Sky take on Seattle coming up at 10 pm ET.
