The announcement came Tuesday evening during ESPN’s WNBA Countdown, where a planned unveiling of this year’s WNBA All-Star team took place. The WNBA All-Star roster was decided by three voting bodies — Player (25%), media (25%) and fan voting (50%).

Reese finished fifth in fan voting, behind Breanna Stewart, A’Ja Wilson, Aliyah Boston and Caitlin Clark in that order, with Clark being the top vote-getter.

Reese entered Tuesday averaging 13.3 points, 11.4 rebounds, 1.9 assist and 1.5 steals per game just 17 contests into her WNBA career, and according to the Chicago Sun-Times Annie Costabile, Reese is the first Sky rookie to make a WNBA All-Star team since Elena Delle Donne in 2013.

The former LSU Tiger’s 11.4 rebounds per game currently ranks first in the WNBA.

Reese also posted her WNBA record 11th consecutive double-double, dropping 12 points, 19 rebounds (the most by a WNBA player in a single game this year), 3 assists and 2 blocks in a game at the Atlanta Dream Tuesday.
