In the aftermath of comments made by Chicago Sky star Angel Reese about a ‘special whistle’ that Caitlin Clark has, social media went searching for examples of Reese not getting a call.

The one the internet seems to be hanging its collective hat on the most came in the Sky’s most recent game – an 83-72 win over the Dallas Wings.

It was in that contest where Reese was seen committing what can only be called a double quadruple dribble.

Reese gathered the ball and then proceeded to take multiple steps before dribbling again – something she repeated multiple times before laying it in.

Social media decided to rip Reese for this, rather than the officials, throwing the ‘special whistle’ comment back at her.

‘LMAO. “Special Whistle” 2 Double dribbles, a travel, and carrying the ball in 5 seconds lol,’ wrote one user.

‘So much for the special whistle?,’ said a second.

A third said, ‘They must have a “special whistle” for Angel too.’

Others were much more critical of the referees, saying, ‘WNBA refs definitely take the cake. How do you miss not 1, but two blatant double dribbles? So obvious.’

Another user wrote, ‘That looks like what I see from 8 year olds on Saturday mornings.’

Reese and Clark are set to battle once again on Sunday – this time, with Chicago as the home team.

It should prove to be a popular event, with the average purchase price for a single ticket for Sunday’s Indiana Fever versus Chicago Sky game is $291, according to the website TickPick.

The cheapest tickets available are for $208, high in the nosebleeds, with the least-expensive ticket in the lower bowl going for $260.

In both previous Fever-Sky matchups, Clark has been at the center of controversy with an opposing player, with the latter time being Reese herself.

On June 1, Clark was body-checked by Reese’s teammate, Chennedy Carter, in a move dubbed by fans to not be in good faith with basketball.

Last Sunday, Reese committed a flagrant foul to Clark when the former LSU star missed a block attempt and swatted Clark in the head with her arm, sending her rival to the ground in pain.
